With this acquisition, Bloom continues to expand its diversified, growing portfolio of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities
throughout the United States.

Scott Kantor, Bloom’s Director of Operations, indicates “while the community was previously owned by a local non-for-profit and has been the premier provider of Independent Living, we have a well-defined plan to ensure the community is consistent with our unique ‘family owned’ operating style and the Bloom brand.” As part of this process, the community name has been changed from Glenview Gardens to Bloom at Bossier (http://www.bloomatbossier.com), and a portion of the community will be converted to Assisted Living and Memory Care in order to offer residents additional senior living solutions and create a continuum of care campus. Mr. Kantor reports “while the asset is in excellent physical condition, these upgrades will further enhance the lives of our residents by making the community an even better home.” Mr. Kantor adds “Bloom intends to build upon its stellar reputation in the South and incorporate its Five Star Customer Service Experience, Five Star Dining Program and signature Life Enrichment Program, as well as provide personalized service, superior resident-centered health care and those hundreds of personal touches that make our family owned communities so special.”
Bradley Dubin, Bloom’s Director of Acquisition, states “this acquisition follows our strategic approach of selectively acquiring and managing well-located, value-add communities.” Bossier City is a growing etropolitan area located along the east bank of the Red River, across from Shreveport, in Northwest Louisiana with numerous attractions making it a great place to live, work, visit and raise a family. “In addition to offering warm, southern hospitality, Bossier City benefits from strong demographics and an increasing demand for high-quality care, and we are thrilled to expand into Louisiana by adding 119-units to our portfolio that complement our existing Southern assets,” reports Mr. Dubin. Tony Kantor, Bloom’s Director of Finance, reports “the community was purchased for $5,500,000, or $46,000 per unit. Our family continues to acquire exceptional assets at reasonable valuations, which permit us to create long term value while providing best in class care and service to our residents.”
