Monica May began her career in the multifamily industry in 2006 as a leasing agent and eventually was promoted to Property Manager/Area Manager. In her 20+ year career she has managed various assets, including a luxury lease-up, garden style communities and military housing for Barksdale Air Force Base. She was responsible for the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and administration duties ensuring company standards were achieved and property goals were met.

Monica May joined Vintage Realty Company in December 2021 as a Regional Manager to oversee apartment communities in Shreveport, Alexandria, Baton Rouge, Gonzales, and Monroe, LA.

The properties that Monica manages regularly top the Best Apartment Community lists. In 2025, she was named as Regional Property Manager of the year by the Shreveport-Bossier Apartment Association.
